Cabinetmaker/Chairwright:
Windsor chairs, stools, rocking chairs and settees including cod rib
and Waltham arm and side chairs; Shaker inspired case pieces
including dressers, cabinets, CD and bookcases, hutches; dining and
end tables; farmhouse and poster beds.
Timothy Clark handcrafts all his furniture in his shop
in Waltham, Vermont. A member of the Guild of Vermont Furniture
Makers, Clark selects only native hardwoods and employs traditional
building techniques to create his pieces so that they will be as
durable as they are elegantly beautiful.
Timothy Clark began making furniture professionally in 1986, soon
after graduating from college. His website explains that he comes
from a family of woodworkers and designers, and, in fact, he uses
his great-grandfather’s workbench in his shop. A visit to Tim’s shop
or site will reveal beautifully crafted Windsor chairs and other
furniture whose simple lines will make them complement the most
traditional or contemporary of settings. You can hear how others
have used his pieces by reading the testimonials on his site, or you
can email or speak with Tim directly through the address and phone
number he offers. The website also features a links page to other
craftspeople and dealers of cabinetry and accessories for your home
or office as well as a listing of places you can stay if you choose
to visit Timothy Clark’s shop. You can also find links to
informational pages about the art and craft of country furniture and
furniture making.
